Today’s Pro Tip Tuesday!
Don’t have a studio? It’s ok! You can take great portraits anywhere!
This portrait of Snoop was actually taken in my living room.
The backdrop was thrown over the loveseat. You can try it with a sheet or blanket.
I used a single speedlight angled to my left and upwards. If you do not have an external flash, use an index card to bounce the in camera flash. This will also help you avoid the glow in the pet’s eyes.
I put a bandana on Snoop and cajoled her to stay on the couch long enough to take a few shots. She obliged, but not for very long.
Actual time to set up and shoot? Probably around 15 minutes.
